Di Donna Galleries is pleased to present at TEFAF New York 2025 a curated selection of artworks that trace the rich history of Surrealism. Highlights include sculptures, paintings, and works on paper by artists who pushed boundaries of artistic production and embraced experimentation such as Salvador Dalí, Alexander Calder, Joan Míró, Wifredo Lam, and Yves Tanguy. The presentation also features important collages by Georges Hugnet, Victor Brauner, Jindřich Štyrský, Remedios Varo, and, notably, René Magritte, curated in conjunction with The Surrealist Collage: Where Dreams and Reality Meet, on view at Di Donna Galleries (a short two block walk from the Armory). Magritte’s Untitled, an early collage from 1926, features one of the earliest depictions of the artist’s most iconic motif: the bowler-hat man.
